Here are our 3 key principles for planning with purpose.

1. Choose A Misogi

A Misogi (mis·ō·gē) is one year-defining event that will be the pinnacle of your year. When you look back, you'll remember 2025 as the year you made it happen. It could be a physical challenge, a trip, a business goal, or a life bucket item. Make sure it's within the realm of possibility, but go BIG.

2. Plan 6 New Experiences

Jesse calls this Kevin's Rule after a friend who introduced the concept. Every other month, do one thing you normally would NOT have done. These are small trips, adventures, or experiences that aren’t typical for you. Maybe it's hiking, a polar plunge, a cooking class, or going to the museum... Anything you normally wouldn't do on a typical weekend!

3. Create 4 Winning Habits

Define one new daily winning habit for each quarter of the year. Make them manageable but meaningful. Your daily winning habits should only take a few minutes maximum per day, and the results will add up over time.

Then simply check the box each day! Choose a system for marking your daily habit as complete each day.
