6 Top Planning Tips From Jesse Itzler

6 Top Planning Tips From Jesse Itzler

Here are 6 top tips from our founder, Jesse Itzler, for making the most out of this amazing planning tool!

1. Color Categories.

I love to use the color-coded adhesive labels. For me: Red = races. Yellow = speeches. Orange = family trips. Color coding allows me to step back and easily see gaps or opportunities across my key "categories".

2. TBD.

I write things that are “to be determined” in dry-erase or pencil in case things change. You can also move the adhesive labels if you prefer that method.

3. ASAP.

Put it on the Calendar or Planner right away! Remember, we're beating time by saving time for the things we want to do most. Don't leave it open and let it fill in with something else.

4. Progress Is A Process.

I update my Calendar and Planner throughout the year. It's important to have some flexibility because things can change, you'll have new ideas, and progress is a process.

5. Bundle Up.

I use both the Calendar and Planner. I map out the big picture on my Calendar first. Then I transfer it to my Planner so I can take it “on the go” and fill in more daily and weekly detail. Consider bundling a Calendar and Planner if you haven't already.

6. An Autobiography.

At the end of the year I keep my Calendar and Planner as mementos. I can look back and see all of my accomplishments, trips and highlights. This is the most honest autobiography I have!

I hope you find these tips helpful and I can't wait to watch you dominate the year!
